Dodgers

The Dodgers fought hard in another tough game with the Pirates on Wednesday. The offense came through once again to score 5 runs in the 6th inning to tie the game that ended in a 12 to 12 tie. Michael J. and Joseph L. led the way with 4 rbi's each. Thomas P., Nick B., Aiden L., and Sierra B. had big hits to start the rally that ended with a clutch hit by Liam O to drive in the tying run. George E., Thomas T., Danny S.,

and Matt B., all played tough infield defense in the bottom of the 6th to secure the tie.

 

 

The Dodgers played a great game against the Pirates Friday night. Aiden L. made the play of the day getting to a ball hit into the outfield and throwing a strike to Joseph L. to get the runner at second base. Michael B., Thomas T. and Michael J. also turned in some great defensive plays. Thomas P. in the leadoff spot, set the table by getting on base 3 times and the hitters behind him all did a good job as they knocked in 14 runs. Liam O., George E., Danny P., and Michael K. had big hits to drive in the runs.

 

 

 

The Dodgers lost a squeaker to the Giants, 25-13 on Saturday. The Dodgers had some players step up big in the 1^st game of the season, Joseph L. had a couple of big hits including a triple, he also turned an unassisted double play. Aiden L. scored 3 runs from the leadoff spot, George E. had 2 hits in the very 1^st game that he has ever played. Michael K. used his speed to beat  out a few hits, while Danny S. and Thomas P. each had a 3 hit game.  Nick B. had a strong defensive game, as well as 2 hits. The catchers, Liam O, Sierra B, and Matt B. all played great behind the plate and all 3 hit the ball very well. Michael B, after a tough week at practice, came back strong hitting the ball hard in all of his at bats and collected 3 runs batted in.
