Pirates
May 13- Shortstop Shane N speared another line drive to snuff a Dodgers rally and end the game. Nick S and Kurt K combined for a double play and Brian L continued to anchor both the offense and defense with consistent, excellent hitting and fielding.
April 30- The Pirates got the season in full swing this week with a game against the Syosset Mets. In the team’s first game pitching, Henry B struck out the side to open the contest. Nick S drove line drive singles to right field in each at-bat and Thomas B anchored the team’s defense with several solid plays.
April 23- The Pirates displayed excellent hitting skills up and down the line-up. James D hit a monstrous triple and Bernardo J and Brendan M came up big with the glove making excellent plays in the field.
